'Thoughtfully designed products
made by people with the aid of machines...,
not the other way around!'
At present, I make everything- every piece of furniture,
every mirror, every picture frame- personally, from
start to finish .
And if I employ other artisans one day, every product will
still be "personal made" by one artisan, from start to finish,
to protect the integrity of character that "authorship" imparts
to any piece of work that bears the stamp of individual effort &
productivity.
Not every product should be made by hand, but where you can
economiaclly support the practice, you impart value far in
excess of anything materially possible: machines can make them
perfect but it takes people to give them soul.
You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear...,
but you can make a heck of a table out of nice piece of walnut!!
