It is the goal of the Critical mass Group to
establish a network of group-production and
marketing facilities where members of the
industry and community can access space, manpower,
equipment, technology, communications, marketing,
sales and production capacities at practical
rates.
Banding together, these micro-businesses will
become a "folk industry" of arts,
crafts, agriculture, food production, outdoor
recreation and tourism that will better the
communities and systems in which they reside.
The long-term goal of Critical Mass is to re-establish
the community as the primary unit of economic
force in American Commerce. Starting with the
region of Western Massachusetts, Critical Mass
hopes to develop longstanding commercial
relationships between independent micro-businesses
based on voluntary, mutual interdependence.
